Training and Placement Cell of the college started Pre Placement classes for M.Com, B.Com final year and DCA students from 16th May, 2022. These classes have been specially designed for the passing out students to help them in attaining their dream jobs.
The first session was conducted on ‘The importance of Placements in a students’ life’ It was taken by Dr Ankita Gupta, Coordinator of the cell. These classes would include sessions on Resume Making, Basics of Group Discussions and Interview Skills. Experts from industry would be visiting the college and grooming the students in practical skills required to be job ready.
The second session of Pre Placement classes was conducted on ‘Interpersonal Skills: Verbal & Non-Verbal’. It was taken by the learned faculty members from PML SD Business School headed by Director, Dr. KL Dhingra along with his team members Dr. Aulakh, Prof. Aniruddha Ghosh, Prof. Richa Sharma, Prof. Rahul Chaturvedi. The eminent members apprised the students about various methods to earn alongside their graduation and talked about the importance of timely investments. Dr. Aulakh gave a presentation on Interpersonal Skills.
The third session of Pre- Placement classes was conducted by Dr. Nidhi Arora, Assistant Professor, P.G. Department of Commerce and Management on the important topic “How to prepare CVs”. Students were informed about the pertinent points to keep in mind while preparing their CVs. Practical demonstration was given. Thereafter, they were assigned the task of preparing their CVs.
The fourth session of Pre-Placement classes was organised on the topic “Interview Etiquettes: Do’s & Don’ts “.The session was conducted by Dr. Ankita Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Students were given important tips to keep in mind while preparing for their interviews. Practical examples were shared with them to make the information more relatable and retentive for them.
The fifth session of Pre-Placement classes was organised on the topic “How to Ace Group Discussion”. The session was conducted by Dr. (CS) Jyoti Arora, Assistant Professor, Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Management. Students were given important tips to keep in mind while preparing for Group Discussion. Practical examples and videos were showcased to make them understand and clear the Group Discussion round efficiently.
