3 DAYS WEBINAR SERIES ON ONLINE STOCK MARKET

The stock market is the nerve of the economy and indicates the economic health of any nation. To impart knowledge on stock market GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna made a humble attempt by organizing 3 days webinar series on ‘Online Stock Market’ from 31st August – 2nd September, 2023. The programme was open for the students of all colleges under GGDSD College Society. 153 students from GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna and Pt. Mohan Lal SD College for women, Gurdaspur participated in the workshop. On the first day, CS Manjeet Singh Dhillon, Company Secretary in practice explained in detail the investment strategies and risk management in stock market. On the second day, Mr. Munish Gupta, Assistant Professor, GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna explained the concepts of cash and future purchase of stock by practically doing it on NSE. On the final day of the webinar, Dr. Jasmeet Singh Pasricha, Professor (retd.), Department of Commerce from Punjabi University explained in detail the concept of derivatives, its types, derivative market and its application in the stock market. Dr. Meenakshi Negi, Officiating Principal expressed her gratitude towards the experts for sparing time for delivering the talk and providing information on stock market with special reference to online trading.
