‘Say No to Plastic’ activity

Green Campus Club of the college organized a drive on the theme ‘Say No to Plastic’ on 14th October,2023. Near about 75 Students from Arts, Commerce and DCA attended the event. A talk was given by Major Mukesh Kapila. He encouraged the students by giving the tips related to waste management. The lecture was delivered with the purpose of spreading message about reuse, reduce and recycling of waste material. Dr. Jaswinder Kaur highlighted the pollution problem due to onetime plastic and explained how single use plastic is disproportionately polluting our life. We need to stop using plastic and improve individual behaviors too. She also gave a demo to the students explaining the negative impacts of using plastic bottles, wrappers etc. After the lecture 20 students participated in the college cleanliness drive. A pledge was taken by the students as well as the staff members to work towards making the college campus clean and green. Officiating Principal Dr. Meenakshi Negi appreciated the efforts shown by the students.The event was well co-ordinated by Dr. Jaswinder Kaur and Mr. Munish Gupta.
