A First Symposium on the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Environment: Expectations and Challenges was organised by the PG Department of Commerce and Management at College Campus on 8th February, 2020. Academicians, entrepreneurs, environmental activists, scholars and learned professionals took part in the symposium.
Dr. G.S. Batra, Dean, Academic Affairs, Punjabi University, Patiala, was the Keynote Speaker. Other eminent speakers were, Dr S.C. Vaidya (Former Dean University Instructions and Chairman University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh), Mr. Vijay Roy (Special Correspondent The Tribune, Chandigarh) and Mr. Bhupesh Saini (Founder, House of Farmers). Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar Baria cordially welcomed all the dignitaries and emphasized upon the significance of 3 E’s: Economy, Entrepreneurship and Environment. The staff and students from Pt. Mohan Lal SD College for Women, Gurdaspur and Pt. Mohan Lal SD College for Girls, Fatehgarh Churian also participated in the symposium. Dr. Meenakshi Negi, HOD of Commerce and Management, Coordinator, coordinated the proceedings of Symposium, spearheaded the Panel Discussion and presented a vote of thanks. The students and faculty members whole heartedly contributed towards the success of the symposium.
