Free Eye Checkup Camp

The NSS Unit organized a free eye checkup camp was organized on 29th August,2023 to commemorate the Death Anniversary of Pandit Mohan Lal Sharma Ji, the founder president of GGDSD college society in association with Lions Club Chandigarh Supreme. A team of doctors from Government Medical College, Sec 32 comprising of Dr. Amandeep, Mr. Amandeep (Technician), Mr. Chanchal (Social Worker) participated in the camp.
On this occasion, a total of 106 patients from nearby villages got their eyes checked for free. 20 of them were senior citizens. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients. Members of Lions Club Mr. Sanjay Mehndiratta and Mrs. Archana Mehndiratta sent their greetings for a successful completion of the camp. This camp was organized by the NSS unit of the college. On this occasion, Officiating Principal, Dr. Meenakshi Negi, said that the college has always been actively engaged in such social welfare activities and will continue to do so in future as well.
