Talk on ‘ Uniform Civil Code’

The Department Political Science of the college, organised an interactive talk on the topic ‘ Uniform Civil Code’ on 3^rd December, 2022. The program was coordinated by Mr.Vivek Ravi. In his opening remark, he emphasized upon the need to implement the UCC in a phased manner only after reaching national consensus. Officiating Principal Dr.Meenakshi Negi stressed upon the fact that UCC has become the need of the hour but the teething challenges of different faiths and diverse backgrounds can pose big roadblocks. Faculty members and students volunteered and aired their views on the issue wholeheartedly. The 45 minute session turned out to be very intriguing.
